My art succeeds when the viewer sees movement in the frozen profile of my work. I present common materials in a new way. By combining texture, shape, and color to present a visual - which changes while moving around the piece. I engage the audience in a dialog of the unexpected using angles to represent curves and perspective to show time. I am inspired by the visual relationship between man-made, cityscape, and natural forms. Each of these forms of expression, one imposed on the viewer, and the other accidental, form a pallet for textural experimentation. My work blends the interaction of these forms into the final shape. The colors that are present in my work are extensions of this search for the balance that produces the human emotion.
